Four New Faces at Sherwood Sqn
After approximately 3 months of training, 4 young men and women have passed out to become Air Cadets at 2418 (Sherwood) Squadron. The new Cadets have recently completed their Junior Cadet training course. Topics covered include drill, Royal Air Force and Air Training Corps history, basic first aid and airmanship.
At the end of parade night on the eve of Tuesday 17th February 2009, Cadet Rebecca Harrison, Cadet Isobel Reynolds, Cadet Jade Tizzard and Cadet Innes Watt made the Cadet's promise (with a little help from the CO) and became fully fledged Cadets at the squadron.
2418 (Sherwood) Squadron Commanding Officer, Flt Lt Donna Bates, commented "They have worked very hard over the past 3-4 months and it was a pleasure awarding Rebecca, Isobel, Jade and Innes their passing out certificates. They are now part of the main squadron and can now get involved with the many activities that we are involved with. They have an enjoyable and fun packed future ahead of them."
