Respectable Finish at Wing Field Day
Cadets and staff from 2418 (Sherwood) Squadron narrowly missed out on trophy success at the South & East Midlands Wing annual Wing Field Day competition at RAF Wittering on Sunday 5th July.
Sherwood Squadron finished a respectable 13th place overall but narrowly missed out in a place in the top three for the Famex competition having come 6th place.
The annual event saw Sherwood Squadron compete in a total of eight events against 28 other Squadrons. Some of these events include drill, first aid, media and communications and leadership exercise.
Flight Lieutenant Donna Bates, Officer Commanding 2418 Sqn, said "Even though we didn't come away with any trophies, the Cadets should be proud of how well they have done. The competition between squadrons was immense this year and they performed to the best of their abilities. I would like to thank all the Cadets and staff for their support and effort on the day and for all the preparation they put in over the past few months."
