Nottingham Marathon
On the 11th September 2011, 2418 cadets set out to Nottingham marathon in Trent Bridge. Staff also came along to keep us in working order and to help out themselves.
Although none of the cadets volunteered to run the marathon. There was a mini marathon (1 hour), ½ marathon (2 hours) and the full marathon (3 hours) but in some case it took considerably longer.
Our first task was to stack the medals so they are easy to hand out. After a few hours of waiting, the first lot of runners running the mini marathon finished, and came through to us so we could hand there medals to them. Eventually the second lot of runners running the ½ marathon finished. After another long wait the third lot of runners running the full marathon finished.
After 6 hours of handing out medals 2418 squadron left the Nottingham marathon.
