Staff and cadets were out in force at the 2018 Nottingham Marathon.

Based at the finish line on Victoria Embankment, 2418 took up their usual challenge of unpacking and handing out medals to the 10,000 runners who took part in both the mini marathon and the half marathon.

Having received their briefing at 7:30, the cadets worked tirelessly throughout the day, ensuring all runners were met with a smile! There was even time for an inter-squadron competition with 209 West Bridgeford Squadron, as both squadrons recreated their squadron numbers in their respective goods (medals for 2418 and Lucozade for 209!)

All the cadets enjoyed their day, with cadet Thomas commenting " It's my first time at this event and I've had a brilliant day. It's nice to be the first people to greet the runners with their medals as they cross the line, and I'll definitely be back next year."
